VANCOUVER, April 24th, 2008 - Diamonds North Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: DDN) announces that the Company has filed its 2007 Annual and Shareholder's Report. You may view these reports on the Company's website at www.diamondsnorth.com .
Exploration programs for the 100% owned Amaruk project are underway. The main camp is open and fully operational plus a second camp has been established near the Tuktu kimberlite cluster and the Tunerq nickel prospect. Detailed exploration plans will be released shortly that will include an aggressive drill program with up to 5 drill rigs.
To ensure systematic and effective exploration, Diamonds North utilizes a pipeline approach. This approach enables Diamonds North to identify kimberlite pipes efficiently and advance the discoveries with the greatest potential as quickly as possible. Of the 17 new discoveries in 2007, 7 have high diamond counts and demand advanced exploration in 2008.
Diamonds North believes Amaruk is one of Canada's most prospective diamond projects. To date, 22 kimberlites have been discovered, of which more than 90% are proven diamondiferous and 50% exhibit diamond counts requiring advanced exploration. More than 500 geophysical targets remain to be tested in an area with an abundance of compelling diamond indicator minerals.
Bruce Kienlen (P.Geol) and Graham Gill (P. Geo) are Diamonds North's qualified persons reviewing these projects. They are responsible for the design and conduct of the exploration programs and the verification and quality assurance of analytical results.
